Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik is a five-star hotel just outside Pile Gate, less than 500 metres from Dubrovnik Old Town, Fort Lovrijenac and Šulić Beach. The building dates from 1897 and combines a central city location with an indoor pool, restaurant, bar and onsite parking.
The hotel has 149 guest rooms. Hilton groups the accommodation into standard guest rooms, executive rooms, suites and accessible rooms.

Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik stands on Marijana Blažića, immediately outside the western entrance to the Old Town. Hilton places Pile Gate, Fort Lovrijenac and Šulić Beach within 500 metres of the hotel.
This is one of the easiest five-star locations in Dubrovnik for sightseeing. You can walk into the Old Town without staying inside the pedestrian zone, while taxis and private cars can still reach the hotel itself.
Rooms and suites
Hilton currently groups its 149 rooms into four broad types: guest rooms, executive rooms, suites and accessible rooms. Room size, outlook and extras vary within those groups.
Executive accommodation is the category to look at if lounge access matters, while suites add more living space. Some rooms look towards the sea or Old Town, but not every category includes a balcony or the same view.
If a balcony or sea view is important, check the exact room description rather than relying on the general hotel photographs.
Indoor pool and fitness
Hilton Imperial has an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre and spa area. The pool is useful outside the main swimming season and on days when the weather is poor.
Unlike Excelsior or Villa Dubrovnik, Hilton Imperial does not have direct sea access. Šulić Beach is nearby, below Fort Lovrijenac.
Restaurant and bar
The hotel has one main restaurant and one lounge bar:
- Imperial Terrace serves local and international dishes, with outdoor seating among the greenery and views towards Fort Lovrijenac and the Old Town rooftops.
- The Imperial Bar and Lounge serves cocktails, light dishes and afternoon tea. Afternoon tea is currently served daily from 15:00 to 19:00.
Parking and arrival
Hilton currently charges €30 per day for both self-parking and valet parking. The parking is onsite, covered and secured, and EV charging is available.

Hilton does not currently offer an airport shuttle. Dubrovnik Airport is about 22 km from the hotel.
Families
Hilton lists cots and a children's menu among its family services. Confirmed connecting rooms and childcare are currently listed as unavailable.
Families who need two separate sleeping areas should therefore check the room or suite layout carefully before booking rather than assuming adjoining rooms can be confirmed.
A hotel dating from 1897
The building opened in 1897 as Grand Hotel Imperial and was one of Dubrovnik's early modern hotels. It brought facilities that were advanced for the city at the time, including electric lighting, central heating, running water and a lift.
The historic exterior remains one of the most recognisable hotel buildings around Pile, although the interiors and facilities are now those of a modern Hilton.
