This is one of the most popular ferry routes in Dubrovnik. Visiting all three of the Elaphite Islands in one day can be tricky due to the regular ferry timetable. Visiting the Elafiti (or Elaphiti) islands should definitely be included in your planing when visiting Dubrovnik. Typical Mediterranean forested hilly terrains with picturesque small villages and beautiful beaches are worth a visit or two. Three of the Elaphiti Islands are inhabited. Where do I buy ferry tickets?
Ferry tickets for the Elaphiti Islands are bought at the main office of Jadrolinija in Gruž harbour. Aldo there usually are seats left, in high season we recommend that you arrive at least 30-40 minutes before departure.

How about spending one or several nights on some of the islands? Each of the islands Koločep, Lopud and Šipan offers at least one hotel and plenty of private accommodation at prices that are usually cheaper than staying in Dubrovnik.

Make the most of your time in Dubrovnik !
Lopud is probably the most popular island of the three Elaphite Islands, upon arrival many visitors cross the island to the other side to visit beach Šunj, the largest sand beach in Dubrovnik. A pleasant 25 minute walk will take you across. If traveling with small children or for persons having walking difficulties there is a small electrical car (golf cart taxi) that will take you to Šunj beach, the price is ca 3 Euro. The car is located next to the harbour upon arrival in Lopud.
Ice cream lover be aware ! Upon arriving in Lopud the first pastry called "Palma" has amazing homemade ice cream. Together with a cup of cafe in one of the nearby cafes it will make for the perfect start of your island visit. Take a stroll along the waterfront passing fishing boats, restaurants and cafes, through lovely botanical gardens, past renaissance churches, chapels and Romanesque ruins.

Dubrovnik serves as the primary ferry hub for accessing the Elaphiti islands (Koločep, Lopud, Šipan), Mljet, Lastovo and Korčula. Additionally, you can travel to Dubrovnik from Split via catamaran, available from May to October, with a one-way ticket priced at 45 € per person. There are also 2 car ferries; one from Prapratno to Island Mljet and one from Ploče to Trpanj.
